Small entryway storage bench – An entrance is that area of the house that collects shoes, coats, hats, gloves, backpacks, bags and umbrellas every time the family comes home or with friends arrive. If you have a large lobby or a small portion of a front room dedicated to this purpose, you can keep it organized by using hooks, furniture, baskets or shelves. One way to add storage and hide clutter in an entrance is to build a simple closet in a section of the room. If you do not have any kind of lobby, but instead of entering the house directly through the kitchen or living room, you may be able to build a shallow closet for storage on either side of the front door.
The tree in the room is a piece of furniture made especially for entries. It usually includes a pair of hooks for coats and hats, a mirror to check yourself before leaving the house, and a storage bench to store shoes, scarves and gloves. If you have a large entrance, a piece of furniture such as a dresser, buffet or dresser can also provide a great way to add additional storage.
A sideboard offers places to store outerwear with space to spare for summer paraphernalia such as sun protection or straw hats. A dresser with cabinets below could contain shoes, boots or even backpacks. If the piece is larger, you might consider adding hooks to hang clothes on the board or on the sides. On the contrary, add a few wall hooks on each side. A simple bench can also provide storage, in addition to adding a comfortable place to sit while tying shoes or removing boots.
